Here at Casale Pundarika in the past years we welcomed volunteers from all over the world who, besides giving a great help, are fantastic individuals we feel lucky we got the chance to know. Volunteering is an experience of connection and community to make the world a better place.

We were volunteers ourselves in the past and we know how important it is when you arrive to a new place to feel welcomed and part of the family. We strive hard to make this true for our volunteers. When you are here you’re one of us.

You’ll learn to understand how is life in the real Tuscan countryside and its small villages and you’ll certainly enjoy the food culture and learn a lot of new recipes. You can learn some the Italian language in the process, if that’s what you’re looking for. Especially if you live in the city, you will enjoy the real sound of silence and everything about a Mediterranean forest: the free food it offers, the animals that populate it, the different vegetation and much more. We have also learned many tricks and tips from our volunteers and that’s what really makes the difference, as the exchange is never only one way!

Every season we need extra hands to run the place and you are welcome to join us. Just check with us if we have availability.

Usually we need help during the beginning of the busy season, around March/April. Tasks can vary from painting around, help with gardening, tidy up, reorganise the apartments and common areas. During the season you can assist us hosting the clients. You could help welcoming the guests and show them around, check if they need anything but mostly make them feel at home.

We are food lovers and we believe in eating healthy, local and seasonal. At Pundarika we cook vegetarian meals using a selection of locally-produced, mostly organic plant based and seasonal ingredients. If you are also a food lover and enjoy to cook you can help during the retreats prepare the best meals for our guests.

In any case it’s not our policy to exploit volunteers as replacement of paid work.
